Ready, Set, Explore! A Musical Summer Camp

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for year two of our summer music camp "Ready, Set, Explore!” In January 2023, we were recognized on a national level for our 2022 summer camp, presenting at the Music Teachers National Association Collegiate Symposium Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. Our program gives elementary-aged children the opportunity to collaborate with other young musicians and encourages a love and interest for music. Both students with and without piano experience are welcome, and camp groups are customized for the students enrolled.

The new theme this year is exploring how music can tell a story and how students can create their own stories through music. Students will learn about well known stories in music, such as Peter and the Wolf,  the Carnival of the Animals, and many more! We hope to see you at 2023 Ready, Set, Explore!

Note: If this camp is cost-prohibitive to you or someone you know, please email me at ejsmith701@gmail.com

100% of students in 2022 summer camp are now enrolled in weekly piano lessons!

“My daughter loved Ready, Set, Explore music camp! Being six, she’s had limited exposure to the piano and I thought joining this camp would be a great way to learn more about the piano and gauge her interest. It was the perfect mix of art and music. Everyday she came home singing a new song, or telling me about the special instrument they had made, which [showcased] music from around the world. The [best part] of the week was a performance for parents & siblings. They performed a few group songs highlighting the instruments & rhythms they had made and learned, then each child had an opportunity to perform a duet on the piano. Not only did my daughter have fun, she was really proud of all that she had learned. She is now taking regular piano lessons and claims it’s her favorite day of the week!
